Brook

Brook

Drenched by drizzle just minutes before I took the shot, this brook continue to flow deep down in this forest. Sustaining life to several plants and trees, birds and insects.

Will it still be here for another hundred years? The answer resides within us. Please help protect the ecosystem.

To understand more deeply on why we need streams, go to this site: www.climatecrisis.net, or watch the movie "An Inconvenient Truth" starring Al Gore.

At the foot of Mount Makiling, University of the Philippines premises in Los BaƱos, Laguna. Nikon FM2 SLR film / February 2006.

"This will be my last photo of this iris this year.

Today I have another reason besides work to stay indoors: Once again the smoke from the fires decimating south Georgia has made its way up to metro Atlanta, and the air quality is unhealthy. Unless we all over the globe start doing something to slow down climate change and global warming, massive fires and devastating floods will become increasingly commonplace. Here's what individuals can do to help, though not much really can be accomplished until world leaders spearhead serious efforts to reduce our effect on the climate, which sadly does not seem to be happening. But do let's do what we can in our own small ways."

London 2023

London 2023

"I went on holiday with my friends. Jane and Barry. There they are in the photo. We heard London used to be very busy but it's changed.... a little bit. Apparently I even visited... on foot when I was three.

There was much less rubbish and it was quieter. I mean these days of course.

We stayed for three hours then had to head back to the high-lands. I'll treasure every moment.

My Dad used to live here... can you believe it?"

This image was created for The April 2007 competition on Ephotozine titled "Visions of the Future". It claimed first place and a nice prize of a Sony Alpha-100 camera and 18-75 lens. Yippee!

Discipline Is The Bridge

Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. This is is very true for the changing world climate. The information and goals are there but we don't accomplish anything. It's time we unite, build that bridge and change things rapidly. Radical and creative solutions are needed.

Based on the scientific information provided I'm afraid our planet has reached or passed the tipping point with global warming already.
